What a Silver Ski Holiday is all about –

Our flights are some of the earliest to depart the UK on Sunday mornings and so are rarely subject to delays. They whisk you quickly into Grenoble Airport where our resort representatives will be waiting to greet you. The airport and roads are quieter on a Sunday and this is a real bonus for Silver Ski guests, with our waiting buses ready to carry you quickly and safely into your resort.

All of our chalets are staffed by happy people (often married couples), usually living with you in the chalet, who, although definitely not to be regarded as servants will none the less clean, cook and care for you. Most of our chalets offer a ratio of 1:5 staff to guests (unrivalled in the ski chalet industry). For six days you’ll enjoy a hot breakfast of eggs, porridge, cereals, French bread and preserves (as much as you can eat), tea and coffee. Afternoon tea is at about 4.30pm with home-made cakes, and, around 7.30pm, the highlight of the day, a hearty home-cooked three course meal (with as much local ‘plonk’ as you can drink) during which the dramas of the day can be relived to the amusement of one and all. On staff day off (normally Wednesday) it is fend for yourself with breakfast a much simpler self-service affair and guests dining out in the evenings at one of the many excellent local restaurants.

The price range in which we place a chalet is a reasonable indication of it’s quality, resort or position. We strive to ensure the highest standards and most of our winter homes have fully private or ensuite facilities and most of our chalets have fantastic skiing access (please note that where we describe a chalet as ‘ski door to door’ this refers to times when normal winter snow conditions prevail. In some parts of the season it sometimes may not be possible.) Ask our office staff for information when booking.
