Stanford Skiing

Stanford Skiing are a small family run company that operate chalets, apartments and hotels in the picturesque resort of Megeve, France.  Stanford is run by John and Elizabeth, a father & daughter team, with Rory, our resort manager, ably running the show for us in Megeve.  We employ approximately 15 staff in the winter to run our chalet/hotels and manage our apartments.  We have jobs for chefs, drivers/general helpers, chalet hosts, chalet managers, an administrator and apartment rep.  We take great care of our staff and many of them remain friends for years to come continuing to ski with us once they've moved on to pastures new.  With Stanford you'll get plenty of time to ski as we believe that is the point of doing a ski season.  We love to ski and we assume you will too!  We try and encourage a professional but relaxed atmosphere in our chalets and our guests often comment on how lovely our staff are.  We believe this is because, although doing a ski season is hard work, we ensure it is also great fun as well and this shines through with our guests experience.

Megeve itself is a beautiful resort with cobbled streets and horse drawn carriages.  It has a large ski area and great off-piste but is not well known by the Brits so you will feel like you're in France rather than an extension of the UK.  Outside of the peak french holidays the slopes are quiet so no lift queues and lovely empty pistes to zoom around!  Megeve does not have rocking night life but there are plenty of bars to enjoy and there is a Folie Douce on the slopes which our staff do enjoy!
